Learning objectives 1 To recognize patients with diseases / suffering and with appropriate tools ( prognostic tools) identify the phase of the disease to provide proportional treatment , centered in the patients values and with focus on symptom control, good communication and multidisciplinary team. Provide best practices in palliative care with multidimensional approach focused on dignity.

Learning objectives 3 To manage assertively the most common symptoms that occur in pacientes facing serious disease .
Good practice in the use of opioid and other medications necessary at the end of life and how to combine pharmacological treatment with non pharmacological.
Description Its a Residency program certified by MEC. The program aims to train and certify doctors, developing knowledge, skills, attitudes and practices in the care of patients and their families who live with pain, seeking a bio-psycho-social approach to the individual.The service consists of an interdisciplinary team and covers hospital, outpatient, and home care for adult patients. Discuss strategies for better symptom control and organization of care in different palliative care scenarios.
