Learning objectives 1 The program aims to train physicians to be experts in the clinical practice of pediatric palliative medicine, who will become leaders in the field of palliative care for children in India and across South Asia.
Learning objectives 2 The focus of the training is malignant and non-malignant conditions needing pediatric palliative care. With clinical services provided at home, in hospice and in hospital.
Learning objectives 3 Graduates are expected to become leaders in the field of pediatric palliative care.
Description This is a 1-year full time clinical fellowship program. The program has two different streams. The Hyderabad Program consists of 12 months of structured clinical rotations in Hyderabad, India, combined with online teaching and learning programs. The International Program includes the same online training combined with clinical rotations in the fellow's home country. Applicants should have MD/Diploma/DNB in paediatrics, other may be specialities considered in special circumstances. The program has been endorsed by the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health (UK), the only such program in South Asia.
