It gives me great pleasure to recognize the support and contributions I have received for our newsletter throughout the past year from our Executive Director and Board Members. Several contributors deserve special praise for their monthly contributions, they are: Roberto Wenk and Liliana De Lima (Message from the Chair and Executive Director), Carla Ripamonti (Article of the Month) and Roger Woodruff (Palliative Care Book of the Month and Book Reviews). Thank you all for your dedication and hard work.

Additionally, I asked our board members to contribute a message from their region or area of interest. I enthusiastically received timely reports from most, they are: Richard Harding, Gian Domenico Borasio, Derek Doyle, Ednin Hamzah, Geoffrey Hanks, Mohammed Zafir Al-Shahri, M.R. Rajagopal, David Currow, Anne Merriman and Frank Ferris. Thank you all.

The publication of our e-newsletter and the web based version could not have been achieved without the skills our Webmaster, Anne Laidlaw. Substituting for Anne during her recent medical leave, we acknowledge and appreciate the excellent skills of Danilo Fritzler.
